Paradise ponders, holy crap the tile is finished edition... I wasn't really sure I was going to live long enough to see this day, but – all the new tile in the house is now finished. Yesterday the tile crew showed up as promised, finished the tile cutting they needed to do on the sun room, and grouted it when they were finished (at right). Our three big home improvement projects are starting to get down to the little details, now. The biggest remaining item is to finish wiring the deck, then installing the tongue-and-groove ceiling on it...
This morning I drove up to my brother Scott's log cabin, about a half hour north of our house. He got some new LED work lights that I helped him install. First we scoped out the job, then headed to town to get the parts we needed (and of course we had to stop at Angie's first and stuff our faces). It took a few hours to put all four of his new lights up, and one of the was broken so the job won't really be complete until the replacement arrives later this week. But now his garage is bright, making a good place for him to work indoors in the winter.
I'm feeling a little under the weather this afternoon. Think I'll take it easy the rest of the day...
