Raindrops keep falling on my head... Well, not really. But just now I heard raindrops on the steel roof of our barn, but there are no rain clouds about. On looking out the window I discovered that I'm hearing the water from melting ice dripping off the upper roof onto the lower roof. Early this morning, when I walked the dogs, I noticed that our fence was covered in ice and that there were sparkles in the grass. Now, after dawn, I can see that my barn's roof was covered with a thick layer of frost – and even a sheet of ice in some places.
Winter approaches!
Yesterday I turned on the heat in my barn. This morning it was a pleasant 65°F when I walked in (that's where I have it set). For the umpteenth time I'm thankful that I decided to spend the money on the in-floor heating system. It works so well!
