and why do we have a constitution and bill of rights? To protect the minority from the oppression of the majority. Without constitutional guarantees, it would be easy to outlaw speech that challenges the majority in power. It would be easy to target those that oppose those currently in power, that stand up for rights.
They're already worried! Mexico is worried that we'll elect a border-control advocate, and Canada's worried that conservative/libertarian Americans will all want to emigrate there :)
