Google Sky...

Google Sky...  Reader and friend Simon M. pointed me to Google Sky, in case I hadn't seen it – and I had not!  It's like Google Maps, except for the sky instead of the ground.  No directions, though :)  I especially liked the overlays (microwave, infrared, and “historical”).  The historical overlay is a beautiful old drawing of the constellations – and a good way to find them!  Certain particularly interesting parts of the sky (and certain objects as well) can be drilled down into much further than most of the sky.  Check out the Orion constellation for some examples...
