It's a rock on Mars, seen up close and personal, much as if you were there in person with a magnifying glass.
It's from Curiosity, using it's “hand imager” camera that's specifically designed to work just like a field geologist with his magnifying glass.
Feels like I could reach out and rub that rock's surface...
