Of course. Global warming is a means to an end. Its an excuse to try and force social change and impose more government control. If it weren't global warming, it would be something else. And with the global warming issue discredited, it will by climate change or could be entirely something different. Some other world with scare.
Problem isn't in studying and even worrying a bit about these things, it is the evil people that try to use them for their own advantage. THAT is the scary thing.
