Political blogging will be light for the next couple of days. I’m suffering from an overload of incompetence from our news services lamestream media — I could scarcely find a fact (let alone anything like complete or balanced coverage) amongst the “news” stories of the Kennedy story, Porter Goss’s resignation, and the Rumsfeld/Ray McGovern flap. And I know that the small percentage of Americans who pay any attention to the news at all will find their “facts” from these lamestream sources.
Sigh. This sort of thing can get me to feeling blue, and pessimistic about the future of representative democracies.
As usual, the blogs offer the most complete and balanced coverage. I recommend Wretchard’s coverage of the Rumsfeld/Ray McGovern flap for your reading this morning — I’ll bet you learn a lot when you read it, even if you’ve watched or read every single lamestream media story about it.
Wretchard: winner.
Lamestream media: losers.
