Every year or two we make a point to visit the Quail Botanical Gardens, in Encinitas — and usually in the springtime, to see the wide variety of plants in bloom. My father (a botanist) is out visiting with us at the moment, so yesterday we made the trek yet again. What a lovely place! And even though it was a gorgeous San Diego springtime Saturday, there were relatively few people there. We were amused to see that almost everybody there was “armed” with a high-end digital camera.
I won’t even try to name all the plants we saw — just enjoy a little beauty. As always, you can click on any of these small photos to get a larger view.
